 Bible Study

Bible StudyThe home Bible study is a self-directed, very democratic group of people who meet regularly to study God's Word. We periodically choose a new subject --- often a book of the Bible but sometimes other subjects related to contemporary society --- and follow a study guide to come to a better understanding of the subject. None of us consider ourselves an expert, but working together we are able to learn quite a bit and enjoy the fellowship at the same time. Over the years, the group changes as members join or depart, so new members can always fit in for a short period or as long as they want. There are typically about 10 people at a get-together.

The study sessions are held on alternate Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 at one of the members' homes. It has become tradition at the beginning of each session to first feed the body with some home baked treats; the soul then seems to be more receptive to spiritual nourishment!

Sunday mornings at 9:15 there is also regular series of Bible study, most often led by the Pastor. We both study books of the Bible in entirety and also study topics that focus upon issues in our lives. There is even coffee offered!
